Antminer S11 (20.5TH/s) – Air-Cooled Bitcoin Miner
Antminer S11 (20.5TH/s) squeezed the 16nm architecture to its limit — 50% more hashrate than an S9 for only 16% more power.
Antminer S11 Overview
The Antminer S11 is the forgotten model of the range, and that is exactly what makes it interesting. It arrived in November 2018, when the market wanted something faster than the S9 but the 7nm S15 and S17 were not yet ready. Consequently Bitmain extracted everything the existing 16nm architecture could give. Moreover, the result was genuinely impressive for its moment: roughly 50% more hashrate than an S9 for a 16% increase in power draw.

⚠️ Buyer Considerations
- ~75 J/TH is better than any S9 variant but still well behind the S19 and S21 generations.
- Viable where electricity is roughly under $0.05/kWh; marginal above that.
- 1,530 W fits a 15 A or 20 A dedicated circuit.
- For the same role today — faster than entry level, cheaper than flagship — compare the Antminer S19j Pro at 29.5 J/TH.
