Antminer S9i (14TH/s) is the binned 2018 refresh of the S9, offering slightly higher hashrate on the same proven 16nm BM1387 platform.

Antminer S9i Overview

The Antminer S9i exists because chip yields improved. Bitmain sorted the best-performing BM1387 silicon from production and shipped it as an “i” variant with a few percent more hashrate. Same chassis, same power supply, same acoustics — simply a better selection of chips. Consequently the S9, S9i and S9j are in practice one machine wearing three labels.
